"All can be corrected. It depends on enthusiasm." César Manrique | La Era
This gastronomic temple was one of the few buildings to survive the volcanic eruptions of the early 1730's. La Era mansion has been converted into a restaurant dedicated to promoting the cuisine of the Canary Islands. The distinctive dining rooms and interior gardens were beautifully restored to their historic origins by Lanzarote's most influential artist, César Manrique, and friends. Little did they realize that in time La Era would become a Mecca for those seeking fine Canarian food.
The only excuse acceptable for missing a session is that you were transported into a revery of delights by Canary hotpot (puchero canario) at La Era. It must be the perfect setting for John Singer Sergeant's 'El Jaleo'. Not to be missed.
